Siddaramaiah is Congress’ ATM: Yogi

Haliyal: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as ATM of the Congress Party.

“The Congress is protecting him because he is like ATM for it. The Congress is dividing people on the basis of religion, caste. It has neglected farmers too,” he said, calling upon people to end the misrule of the Congress government.

Addressing the BJP election rally at Shivaji College grounds here, on Friday, he said “Siddaramaiah government is not allowing installation of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s statue. The statue will be installed soon after BJP comes to power. The cow slaughter is going on unabated in Karnataka. I have closed down all slaughterhouses in Uttar Pradesh within 24 hours after I became chief minister. But unfortunately, Karnataka government has not stopped cow slaughter.

He said several farmers committed suicide in Karnataka.

The Congress government was totally engrossed in corruption, he said.

BJP candidate Sunil Hegde said, BJP took out a padayatra covering 357 km to implement Kali river project in Haliyal taluk in 2014. Now people’s support was needed for the overall development of the constituency.

Veil removed

Security personnel didn’t allow some girls who were wearing the black veil to enter programme venue.

They were allowed only after they removed the veil causing embarrassment for the girls. The security personnel also didn’t allow people to carry water bottles inside the venue.

BJP district unit president K G Naik, former MLC V D Hegde, taluk BJP president Shivaji Narasani, secretary V M Patil, Mangesh Deshpande, Hanamanth Kotabagi, Sagarnath Maharaj, Vijaykumar Gupta, Tukaram Manjrekar and others were present.
