Sirsi: A four-year-old female leopard was discovered lifeless in the Konanbidki forest area in Sirsi taluk on Thursday. The cause of death remains unclear.

The spot was inspected by Chief Conservator of Forests K V Vasantha Reddy and Deputy Conservator of Forest G R Ajjaiah. 

Forest officials suggested that the demise might be attributed to exhaustion following a confrontation with another wild animal in the forest.
