Sirsi Shalmala River Incident: All Victims' Bodies Recovered, Search Operation Ends

Sirsi: In a tragic incident at Bhairumbe village, Sirsi taluk, five members of a single family drowned in the Shalmala River on Sunday.

The victims, Maulana Muhammad Saleem Khaleel Rehman (44), Nadia Noor Ahmed Sheikh (20), Nabil Noor Ahmed Sheikh (22), Umar Siddique (14), and Misba Tabasum (21) from Ramanabil, succumbed to a chain reaction triggered by a child's accidental fall into the river. 

Despite a swift rescue effort by local residents, the fire brigade, and the police, all bodies have been recovered, concluding the search operation. The Sirsi rural police have registered a case in connection with the tragedy.
