4 caught with Ganja worth Rs. 30,000 in Sirsi

Karwar: Sirsi police has nabbed four people for the possession of Ganja (cannabis) in Sirsi's Kukkalli village on Tuesday. The four were caught with the drug substance wieghing upto 2.15 Kilograms, worth Rs. 30,000. 

The police has identified the accussed as Shridar Madalinga Hegde (57), Ganesh Shridhar Hegde (27) both hailing from Vaanali in Sirsi, Subramanya Raju Naidu (47) of Yellapur and Gurudev Mahadevappa Sandimane (37) of Kalghatagi in Dharwad district.

Acoording to the police, all four were arrested at the Asthal bus stand while they were were travelling on two bikes from Gullapur (Yellapur taluk) to Kukkalli  (Sirsi taluk). They were caught red-handed, possessing the drug substance.

Sirsi Deputy SP T. Nagesh Shetty, CPI Krishnananda G Naik, PSI Shivkumar B, ASI Rajesh Korage, Chandrappa Koravar, Prashant Pauskar, Basavaraj Myageri conducted the operation.
