Sirsi: A 17-year-old student drowned in Kengrehole in the taluk while swimming.

The deceased has been identified as Lakhan Sindhe, a first PU commerce student at Makiramba High School in the town.

It is said that Lakhan had ventured into Kengrehole along with his friends for swimming and drowned. 

Fire fighting staff fished out Lakhan’s body on Thursday evening. A case has been filed at Rural Police Station.
