Mangaluru:  The city police has arrested six persons for alleged moral policing in Dakshina Kannada district.

The arrested persons on Monday night had allegedly assaulted two students traveling on a bike, Mangaluru police said.

They waylaid their bike and abused the female student traveling with a male student belonging to a different faith and allegedly touched her indecently and pushed her away, they said.

The culprits had allegedly thrashed the male student, police said. The arrested persons are Prahlad, Prashanth, Guruprasad, Prateesh, Bharath, and Sukesh.
