Kumta: The sixth edition of the five-day 'Kumta Utsav' will begin from February 1 at Mahatma Gandhi stadium in Kumta town, where National and International fame artists shall be performing, said  Utsav committee president Ravikumar Shetty.

Addressing the press meet, he told reporters, opportunities will also be given to local artists to showcase their talents on the big stage. Achievers in various fields will also be felicitated on the occasions.

This grand event will be inaugurated by district In-Charge Minister RV Deshpande and Coastal Development Authority chairperson Sharada Shetty on the evening of 1st February.

Famous artists including Arjun Janya, Gangavati Pranesh, Anushree, singers of Sa Re Ga Ma PA program, actors Shrimurali, Vijay Raghavendra and others will be participating in the various entertainment program, he added.

Apart from cultural and entertainment programs, food stalls, exhibition-cum-sale and an amusement park will also be set up.
