Bhatkal: Women's wing of Jamat e Islami Hind Bhatkal in association with Al-Kausar girls college organized a get-together program on the theme of "Communal harmony, brotherhood, and peace". The program was held at a private hotel, where the secular women belonging to all communities took part in the program.
The event began with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Tabassum, a student of Al-Kausar girls college, Bhatkal, while the English and Kannada translation was done by Bareera and Sabiha Farooque respectively. Kannada hamd was sung by a little boy Gitrif Manvi. Fauziya Tanveer, a student of Al-Kausar college welcomed the guests, while Sabira Saba sung a beautiful naat.
Block resource coordinator of the education department, Yellama, spoke on communal harmony and also on the importance of education.
Cheif guest of the event, Mrs. Kulsoom Abubakar Udupi, speaking on the occasion, explained the importance of communal harmony and brotherhood in accordance with the Holy Quran. She briefed about the aim and purpose of the human's life with reference to Ahadith.
On this occasion, Mrs. Shashikala was felicitated for her tremendous work as the teacher for 37 years in Anjuman girls high school, Bhatkal.
