Bhatkal: A Motorcylist injured seriously and hospitalised after a car crashes into his parked bike when he was inspecting his two wheeler. Injured has been identified as K M Ismail (67), a resident of Belke, comes under Bhatkal rural police station limit.

According to sources, Ismail was on his way home after Juma prayers, when his ‘M-80’ bike stopped due to some issue at a cross near his home. He parked his bike besides the National highway and got down to inspect it, when a speeding car which was traveling from Bhatkal to Mangaluru rammed into the bike. The impact was so severe that Ismail sustained serious injuries to his head and legs.

Ismail was immediately taken to Bhatkal government hospital but later taken to a private hospital in Udupi for further treatment.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station.
