Bhatkal: The SSLC examinations 2018 commenced on 23rd March, Friday and students from all over the taluk, appeared at their allotted examination centres on first day to give their Urdu, Kannada and English examinations.
However, information was received from the Taluk Block Education office by administrator Subramanya Bhat that across the nine different examination centres in the taluk, around 30 students did not appear to give their examinations.
According to the sources, necessary preparations were made by the Taluk Block Education officers to provide a stable environment for the students to write their examinations. Among the 2048 SSLC students in the taluk, 2018 appeared to give their exams on first day while 30 were marked absent.
Among various examination centres, 8 from IAUHS block, 5 from Anjuman Girls school block, 2 from New English School, 1 from Jantha Vidhyalaya centre Murdeshwar and 2 from Government high school Belke were absent while the examination centres at Beena Vaidya and government high school Sonarkeri had 100% attendance.
