Mangaluru: The CCB (City Crime Branch) police here have arrested an accused behind the murder of Target Ilyas who has been identified as Shamir.
According to sources, during their investigation the police found out that Shamir, who was one of the assailants behind the killing of Ilyas, was in Kerala. They formed a team, went to Kerala and arrested the accused. He has been brought to the city for questioning.
The police believe that four persons were involved with this murder. Further investigations are being conducted to nab the other accused.
Ilyas alias Target Ilyas was hacked to death by miscreants on 13th January at his home. He was a member of the notorious 'Target Group' from Ullal and was involved with several criminal cases.
