Udupi: In a tragic incident which occurred near SMS college Brahmavar on 3rd October, Tuesday, a teenage boy was killed after a truck carrying sand hit him while he was waiting to cross the road.
The deceased has been identified as Aneesh (15yrs) s/o Krishna Poojary and Sujata, a resident of Barkur near Brahamawar in the district.
According to the sources, Aneesh was about to cross the National Highway as he was on his way to his tuition classes on Tuesday, when a sand-laden lorry rammed into him. The impact of collision was so horrible that it made the victim Aneesh succumb to his injuries on the spot.
Brahmawar police arrived at the spot and took the driver under custody.
A case has been registered in Brahmawar police station.
