Mangaluru: The Sullia police arrested Jagadish, 23, of Sullia for his alleged involvement in the theft of ₹26,500 and 48 grams of gold ornaments from the house of Satyanarayana in Kodiyala village near Bellare on July 25.

The Bantwal Town Police on Thursday arrested Umanath Prabhu, 51, of Kateel for his alleged involvement in theft of ornaments and cash from a house in Shirali village in Bhatkal Rural police station limits.

The accused was found moving suspiciously in the Bantwal Railway station on Thursday.

The police recovered ₹4.75 lakh worth gold ornaments and silver articles and ₹52,390 from the accused.
