Gold ornaments worth ₹ 3 lakh burgled from a house near Bhatkal

Bhatkal: In a shocking incident, a group of thieves broke open the main door of a house near Chitrapur region in Shirali of Bhatkal taluk on Monday late night, and made away with gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh, that were kept in the cupboard.

The house which was robbed belonged to Shridevi Venkatraman Bhat, which is located near Shirali-Chitrapur railway bridge. The house was burgled when the occupants had been to the relatives house.

On noticing the broken lock neighbours soon informed the family.

Rural police have registered a case and investigations are carried.
