Ankola: A cattle laden truck toppled after its driver lost control of the vehicle on Hebbula NH-66 in the taluk, causing three cattle to die. The accident happened on the evening of June 27, Wednesday.
Reports said that fearing incident, the driver and cleaner fled the scene leaving the truck behind. The accident took place when the truck was on the way towards Kerala from Maharashtra. It is said that a total of 10 cattle were being trafficked on the truck, among which 3 died and 1 sustained severe injuries in the accident.
A case has been registered in Ankola police station.
