Sirsi: Shantaram Hegde Welfare Trust has been established in Sirsi and to help educational, social and economically backward people, said trust president S K Bhagwat.

Shantaram Hegde involved in social, educational, cooperative and other fields and helped many people.

He was honoured with many awards and cash prize, and the total cash prize is Rs 15 lakh. This amount will be kept in bank and its interest will be used for welfare works.
