Bhatkal: Three people were reportedly injured after two bikes had a head-on collision that happened on 19th October, Thursday evening on Nawayath colony NH-66 near City Light hotel here in Bhatkal. One amongst the injured is reported serious and has been taken to Manipal hospital for advanced treatment.

The seriously injured victim, identified as Mushtaq Abdul Majid Mulla, 35, was on the way towards Murdeshwar from Bhatkal when the bike approaching in the opposite direction had a head-on collision with his bike. The impact of the collision was such that it resulted in sustaining severe injuries to Mushtak over his head and was seen a portion near his head was torn. He was then taken to Manipal hospital for advanced treatment after providing initial treatments at Bhatkal govt hospital.

The other two injured were identified as Manjunath Naik (46) and his wife Mangala Naik, residents of Gulmi in the taluk. Both are getting treated at Bhatkal govt hospital.

Sources informed that the seriously injured Mushtak is an origin of Attar mohalla in Tengingundi, Bhatkal. But was residing in Murdeshwar after his marriage.
