Mangaluru: Two person Monish from Bokkapattana and Akhil from Kodikal, have been sentenced to one month of rigorous imprisonment by Judge Poojasri at the sixth JMFC court in Mangaluru for their involvement in ganja peddling. 

Acting on a tip-off, Barke PSI conducted a raid in Sulthan Bathery on April 17, 2021, seizing 500 grams of ganja. 

PSI Shobha submitted a chargesheet, leading to the registration of a case under the NDPS Act. 

The convicted individuals also face a fine of Rs 1,000 each.

 This swift legal action underscores the commitment to combating illegal drug activities and maintaining law and order in the region.
