Bantwal: In a collision between a Omni and a private bus here at Mani, a man lost his life while the Omni driver suffered serious injuries on 2nd February, Friday.
The injured driver has been identified as Mohan (32yrs), a resident of Karaya in Uppinangady while the identity of the deceased is yet to be identified.
According to sources, Mohan was on his way to Uppinangady on Friday when the car moving ahead of him applied sudden brakes after seeing a cobra on the road. In order to avoid hitting the car, the bus behind it steered to extreme right and collided head on with Mohan’s vehicle.
Due to the impact, Mohan suffered grievous injuries while the driver of other car died on spot.
A case has been registered at Vittal police station.
