Gokarna:  Police arrested two students, Prasad Sanjay Kshatriya (24) and Nishanth Ashok Ugale (25), both hailing from Nashik in Maharashtra, on charges of consuming ganja on Thursday.

The arrest took place on the road leading to Kudle Beach near the Mahabaleshwar Temple.

The duo, along with their friends, were in Gokarna for a picnic. Acting on specific information, the police conducted a raid, resulting in the arrest of the two youths. A subsequent medical examination confirmed their consumption of ganja. Authorities in Gokarna are implementing strict measures to curb the sale of ganja, as indicated by the police.

Gokarna Police has filed a case.
