Udupi: An unidentified woman was crushed to death after being hit by a speeding bus here on Uchila NH-66 near Udupi. Locals say that the woman was always be engaged in collecting the roadside dry garbage.

Sources informed that the incident happened when a speeding private bus was on the way towards Mangaluru from Udupi. As the incident happened, initially she sustained injuries, for which unable to bear, succumbed on the spot.

As the information was alerted, Padubidri police rushed to the spot and conducted necessary investigations.

A case has been registered.
