Udupi gets 'KarnatakaOne' centre

Udupi: The 'KarnatakaOne' centre has been opened in Udupi and was inaugurated by district In-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj.

Speaking after inaugurating the centre, the minister said that the 'KarnatakaOne' centre is a single roof centre that offers a variety of facilities under one centre. The government wants to make the administration hassle-free and offer all possible facilities to the public.

It assures that various payments can be made under one roof. Four other such centres will be opened in the town, he added.

He said facilities for almost all of the payments including Aadhaar card and ration card applications, passport applications, electricity bill payment, government bus pass applications can be availed at the centre.

The minister said members of the public should take advantage of the facility and is open for 12 hours in the day starting at 8 am. The centre is closed for the government-declared holidays. Payments can be made through cheque, credit, debit cards and demand draft, he said.
