Honnavar: People working with various departments concerned with children should be conversant with psychology of children, stated Litterateur Vishnu Naik.

He noted this while speaking after releasing the children’s’ novel ‘Bavaliguhe’ written by Tammanna Bigar and ‘Tottilugombe’ written by Mysuru Maduprasad during childrens’ camp, jointly organised by Sandhya Sahitya Vedike, Sakshi Teachers Forum and Abhinav Publishers, at Higher Primary School in Kavoor at Honnavar on Wednesday.

He called upon teachers to support the students to take up creative activities instead of prohibiting them of doing different things.

He also said, the family members and seniors should guide children in proper way of life from their childhood, because students can easily inculcate the qualities though in thier early years of development. Senior writer Anand Patil said, there is lack of children novels in Kannada language. It is a matter of concern that Kannada medium students have been deprived of children literature in comparison with english medium students. In this regard, efforts are being made to resolve this problem.
