Mangaluru: Another accomplice of underworld don Kali Yogish, was nabbed by the CCB police here on 2nd March, Friday in connection to recent shootout incidents in the city.
The arrested accused has been identified as Dinesh (35yrs), a resident of Haripade. Including Dinesh, a total of four persons stand arrested relating to the shootout incidents.
According to sources, the police arrested Dinesh based on credible information received on Friday. Dinesh was wanted in connection with the shootout at a textile shop at Carstreet, at a jewellery store in Mulki and a businessman’s house in Kulai.
The police arrested the accused and seized two mobile phones from his possession. After analysing the call records, they found out that he had been in constant touch with Kali Yogish, providing information to the latter whenever he demanded.
Two accused namely Manoj and Chandrashekar were arrested by the police earlier in December in connection to the shootouts and two pistols and seven live bullets had been seized from them. Later on 14th February, another accomplice of Kali Yogesh, Tejpal was arrested by the police.
Further investigations are being conducted by the CCB regarding this matter.
