Karwar: A 15-year-old SSLC student committed suicide at her house in Majali village, in Karwar taluk, on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Shafali Ullas Padavalkar.

According to the family members, the girl had secured 66.24% (414/625) in SSLC examinations, the results of which were announced on Monday.

Shafali Ullas Padavalkar had scored 98 in Kannada, 71-English, 85-Hindi, 53-Maths, Science-50 and 57 in social science.

She was upset that she had secured less than expected marks.
