Karwar: Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul on Sunday said that the violence-hit town Honnavar will return back to normalcy from Monday.

In a meeting held with district police superintendent, tahsildars and 50 leaders of various organizations of Honnavar, DC Nakul said that shops and educational institutions in the town will start operating from Monday. The police force will continue to be deployed at every corner of the town as a precautionary measure.

He warned that the officials will be keeping a strict eye on the social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter, to catch hold of miscreants who spread hate messages.
