Karwar: Weekend curfew imposed to prevent the spread of rising Covid cases on Saturday, evoked a good response in Karwar too. The movement of vehicles and people was less. 

Except for shops selling essential goods, all other business establishments remained closed in the town. People arrived in the markets in the morning for purchasing essential items including vegetables, milk, and other goods. Later, the movement of vehicles and people came down. 

Police placed barricades at various main areas including on Mahatma Gandhi Road to prevent the traffic movement.
