Mangaluru: The police have received an open letter from the wife of deceased ‘Target Ilyas’ seeking justice relating to her husband’s murder.
Ilyas’s wife Farzana has stated in the letter that a week prior to her husband’s brutal murder, he had made an oath to her not to get involved in any more illegal activities and his friend Dawood was not happy with the agreement. She has mentioned in the letter that Dawood had threatened to kill Ilyas regarding the matter.
She has also stated the names of Usman Kallapu, Rahim Manchila, Safwan, and many others as Dawood had claimed to be backed by them after making the threat.
"I want justice. My earnest wish is that my husband's assassins should get maximum punishment. I feel like committing suicide. If I fail to get justice, I will surely commit suicide by hanging and you will be responsible if this happens," she has threatened in the letter.
Target Ilyas was brutally attacked by miscreants who barged into his home on 13th January, Saturday and breathed his last later at the hospital. He was a member of the notorious 'Target Group' from Ullal and was involved with several criminal cases.
