Belagavi: A woman passenger was killed and three others suffered minor injuries in an accident involving a truck and maxi-cab near the bridge at Mahantesh Nagar here, on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Mehaboobi Sanadi (60), resident of Honyal village, in Belagavi taluk. Mehaboobi suffered grievous injuries following the accident. She was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to injuries. Three other persons escaped with minor injuries.

Traffic North police have registered a case.
