Honnavar: A 59-Year-Old woman died on the spot after she accidentally slipped out from a moving bus on Marvante NH-66 in the taluk on Saturday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Kamala Yane Radhakrishna Hegde, a resident of Harkade village of Kumta taluk.

According to the sources, the accident happened when the victim was traveling to Honnavar from Idagunji cross in Bhatkal-Honnavar KSRTC city bus. As the sudden breaks were applied, Kamala slipped from the door and fell on the road, causing severe head injuries.

A case has been registered in Manki police station.
