Dandeli: The forest officials on Tuesday, have seized wooden logs worth of Rs. 60,000 which were being transported illegally. They also seized a passenger rickshaw in which it was being trafficked and have arrested two persons in this regard.

The accused were identified as Anand Maharaj Medar and Ravindra Siddapa Medar, residents of Janata colony in Dandeli. They were caught red-handed near Janata colony cross when they were trafficking these wooden logs illegally in Auto rickshaw, which also have been seized.

A team of forest officials including C.K Garawade, regional officer Vijay Tamannanavar, AS Baila, Shantaram Kendolkar, Shri Shaila Kempegowda, Vinayak Kodalkar and others were present.
