Kundapur: In a heart wrenching incident, a laborer was buried alive in mud slide while digging an underground drain.  According to sources, the underground drainage work is being carried out rapidly in few areas of Kundapur from past some time.

The incident took place during the digging of land for laying drainage pipe near Viyarya Math. The victim Rupesh Paswan, aged about 24 years, was among the 12 laborers who were assigned the work of digging the land by the project contractor. He is said to be from Bihar. It is said that all of a sudden a huge amount of mud fell off while digging and Rupesh got stuck inside the dig. He had already breathed his last due to suffocation by the time he was brought out.
