Mangaluru: Minister for Wakf, Food and Civil Supplies Zameer Ahmed inaugurated a two-day workshop on Robotic and 3D Laparoscopic live surgery, organised by the Departments of Urology, Surgical Oncology and Gynaecology of the Yenepoya Medical College, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru.

Lauding the Yenepoya Medical College for teaching and training professionals in Robotic surgery, the Minister said that the government will support the universities proposal for conducting cancer screening camps throughout Karnataka.

Chancellor Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi commended the work done by the Yenepoya Robotic Centre in the short span of two years. The centre has been able to provide service to people from all sections of the society through government schemes.
