Yellapur: A lorry driver was killed on the spot and 13 others travelling in a KSRTC Bus sustained injuries, after the two vehicles had a head on collision near Arbail Petrol Bunk, in Yellapur taluk, on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi Shivappa Goralli (30), a resident of Hosahalli village, in Koppal taluk.

According to police officials, Ravi was driving the lorry from Yellapur towards Ankola in a reckless manner and at a high speed. As a result he crashed on to the bus that was parked on the roadside suffering a breakdown.

This also resulted in the injury to the 13 persons travelling in the bus. A case has been registered.
