Karwar: Two persons were seriously injured in a fatal accident involving head on collision between a Bolero pickup and a Bike near KSRTC bus depot on Mundgod road in Yellapur in Uttara Kannada district.

The injured were identified as Prakash Dayanand Naik and Manjunath Basavaraj, residents of Ravindra Nagar in Yellapur who were travelling on bike.

It is learnt that the accident happened when bike was on the way towards Yellapur from Mundgod, while pickup vehicle was in the opposite direction. The bike rider, who sustained severe injuries, have been shifted to Hubli KIMS hospital after giving initial treatments at Yellapur govt hospital.

A case has been registered in Yellapur police station.
