Karwar: A Kerala based youth was arrested by Karwar rural police officials on charge of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl on Netravathi Express train.

According to sources, Kiraz Majid was traveling in Netravathi Express (Train Number 16346), along with the victim from Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai when he tried to molest the girl, who was traveling along with her family members.

The incident came to light when the girl informed her parents, who then filed a complaint with the Railway Protection Force officials. Acting upon the case, the youth was arrested and later handed him over to Karwar rural police station officials.
