Mangaluru: Muslim Central Committee Seeks Fast Track Court for Udupi's Nejar Murder Case

Mangaluru: The Muslim Central Committee has urged the government to take swift action in the recent murder case of four individuals in Nejar, Udupi district.

At an emergency meeting presided over by Chairman Al Haj KS Mohammad Masood, the committee formally requested the government's attention to the case.

The committee has called for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to appoint senior lawyer Shivprakash Alva as the public prosecutor for the case. They have also urged the Chief Minister and Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar to visit the site of the incident.

A similar request has been extended to Udupi district in-charge minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar.

The objective of these requests is to ensure a thorough investigation and trial by a special fast track court.
