Udupi District Reveals Final Voter List: 10,245 Youth Voters Included

Udupi: The revised final voter list for the five assembly constituencies in Udupi district has been published, according to Udupi DC Dr. Vidya Kumari. The list, based on the qualifying date of January 1, reveals a total of 10,45,296 eligible voters, including 5,04,448 men, 5,40,833 women, and 15 individuals identified as third genders.

Dr. Vidya Kumari emphasized the importance of voters checking the list to ensure their eligibility. There is still an opportunity to add or remove names from the electoral roll until the election is declared. It is advised that all eligible voters register within the time limit set by the Election Commission to avoid any issues during the election period.

During the special brief revision period, a total of 13,553 applications were received for inclusion in form-6, 6 applications for inclusion of NRIs in form-6, 3362 applications for transfer in form-8, and 9282 applications for deletion from the electoral roll in form-7. Additionally, 9282 applications in form-8 were received for amendments to the electoral roll.

The final voter list has been made available on the websites of the Assistant Commissioner, Taluk Office, and District Collector's Office in all polling booths for Byndur, Kapu, Udupi, Kundapur, and Karkala assembly constituencies. The public can also obtain information about the voter list for the Lok Sabha General Election 2024 by calling the district-level voter helpline center toll-free number 1950. 

The meeting where the final voter list was distributed to various political party office bearers was attended by officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Mamata Devi G.S., Kundapur Assistant Commissioner Rashmi S., and all Tahsildars of the taluk, along with representatives from political parties.
