‘By April 6 complete survey on house without electricity: DC to officials

Karwar: Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan M P has instructed officials concerned to ensure that not just the village selected by Revenue Minister R Ashoka is addressed but every village is taken care of.

Speaking at the preparatory meeting for the minister’s village stay programme scheduled on April 16, at the DC office here on Tuesday Mullai said the selected village is just a representative of the district and the officials should conduct a survey and give the required details.

He instructed the taluk-level officials concerned to present accurate details regarding the requirements of graveyards, renewal of gun license, the total area under gomala, and people who have not received land records, ration card or Aadhar cards.

The officials should also present details of their respective taluks regarding Form number 57.

Bring beneficiaries

He said all the officials have to attend the village stay programme compulsorily. The officials should also ensure that beneficiaries of various schemes under their department attend the programme.He said by April 6, the officials should complete the survey of total houses in the district with no access to electricity and also those who have not received a pension.

Eligible beneficiaries should be given certificates during the Minister’s visit, he said.

Mullai said that there are 221 Grama one centres functioning in the district, however, only 15 departments are providing service at those centres.

He said the centres have not received a sufficient number of applications. So, there is a need to create awareness regarding the various departments that are providing services to the people.

Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Priyanga M, Additional Deputy Commissioner Raju Mogaveer, Assistant Commissioner Jayalakshmi Rayakod and others were present.
