Mundgod: A road accident involving collision between a truck and a bus resulted in the death of a truck driver and injured nearly 23 passengers, which happened in Malgi village of Mundgod taluk on Wednesday, 28th November.

The deceased is identified as Dimanna Hanumanthappa, aged 30.

It is informed that the accident took place when a bus belonging to KSRTC was plying passengers from Sirsi to Hubballi, whereas the truck was in the opposite direction. Both went out of control and collided each other. The injured were rushed to Mundgod hospital. 

The impact of collision was such that both the vehicles were seen damaged completely in their front portion.

A case has been registered in Mundgod police station.
