Kumta: To have a complex of all government related offices of Kumta under one roof, the government has sanctioned ten crore rupees for the construction of 'Mini Vidhana Soudha' in the town.

Speaking to presspersons, Ex-MLA Sharada Shetty informed that during her MLA tenure, had kept a proposal asking to sanction an estimated amount of 12.5 crore rupees for three-storeyed mini Vidhana Soudha building with former revenue minister Kagodu Timappa. However, after reviewing the map and expenditures, the government has asked to complete the construction work in 10 crores and has sanctioned the amount to proceed with the construction of Mini Vidhana Soudha. 

She further explained that Mini Vidhana Soudha will be built in an area of 3 acres at Manaki in the outskirts of the town. 

There are various government related departments in Kumta, which are located in private buildings. With the aim of bringing all the departments under one roof, the Mini Vidhana Soudha will be built.
