Karwar: A very long and strong python was caught by the locals here on 18th September, Monday.
The 11 ft long reptile was caught by the locals while returning from the forest to the town. The python was caught while it was trying to hunt chickens outside a house. It was then handed over to the forest officers, who then moved it far away into the forest.
According to the sources, when the snake was first spotted entering the compound of a house in the town, fear crept into the minds of the occupants of that house.
However, Deepak Naik, a resident of that house showed courage and along with some of his friends, managed to catch the dangerous reptile.
