Mangaluru: A 13-year-old boy lost his life after he drowned in river, while taking bath at Ammemmar in Pudu village in Bantwal on Tuesday. 

According to sources, the deceased boy was identified as Abdul Sathar, son of Abdul Basheer, of Ammemmar. He had stepped into the river to take bath and collecting clams (marvai) along with five other children.

A case was registered in Konaje police station.
