Yellapur: As many as 14 people were injured after a private bus overturned near the Bedthi bridge in Yellapur taluk.

The two among the injured passengers are said to be serious.

Soon after the mishap, the injured victims were rushed to Sirsi hospital for treatment. The bus was carrying nearly 35 passenge to Yellapur from Itagi. The accident took place near a narrow curve close to the bridge when the driver lost control over it.

Vehicle movement on the road was affected for three hours due to the accident.

Police and officers visited the accident spot. MLA Shivaram Hebbar visited the hospital and enquired the health of the passengers.
