19-year-old Emirati dies in road accident in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah: A 19-year-old UAE national died in a road accident after sustaining serious injuries when his motorcycle collided into a bus in Ras Al Khaimah.

The deceased, called H.R., died instantly when his motorcycle entered a road and was subsequently hit by a bus in Al Rams area of Ras Al Khaimah.

Colonel Salem Rabee, Head of Al Rams Police Station, said that the Operations Room received a tipoff reporting that a motorcycle had collided with a bus.

An ambulance and police patrols rushed to the scene.

According to the police, the victim was by himself, maneuvering the turn when the 50-year-old driver of the bus, H.K.H, entered the road without first making sure it was empty of vehicles on the other side.

The victim’s body was transferred to Saqr Hospital to be handed over to his family, while the incident file was referred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures.

Colonel Rabee stressed the need to follow traffic rules for all drivers, adding that it was essential to check the junction to be free of vehicles before entering.
