Mundgod: Two students died on the spot when the bike they were driving and a State transport bus collided near Salgaon in Mundgod taluk on Thursday night.

The deceased were identified as Ghanshyam Basavaraj Onikeri (18) and Manjunath Kariyappa Talwar. The bus was on its way towards Mundgod from Hangal when it collided with the bike. The bike riders were on their way towards Nandipur. 

Mundgod police have registered a case.
