Mangaluru: One person died, while four persons were injured in a car accident on NH 66, at Thokkottu Junction near Mangaluru on late Tuesday night.

Sources informed that the deceased is identified as Anoop Antony (35), a native of Ernakulam.

Anoop is said to have been working as technician at Deralakatte Hospital. He, along with his colleagues, had left in a car to meet his brother, who had come down from Kerala.

The car overturned after the driver applied sudden brakes at Thokkottu Junction.

The injured are Dilal, Vidu S, George and Anand, who are getting treated in a hospital at Deralakatte.
