Bhatkal: Malik Damda and Nikhil Shanbhag, of Anjuman Degree College and PG center and Shree Guru Sudhindra BCA College, Bhatkal respectively have been selected for Karnataka University Dharwad (KUD) Shuttle Badminton team, while Muhammad Salman of Anjuman Institute of Management and Computer Application, Bhatkal have been selected for Swimming team of KUD. 

It may be noted that the KUD sports teams are comprised of the best players from every division of the state.
