Mallapuram: A man named Anil Kumar (30) who was employed as a driver in Riyadh of Saudi Arabia was brutally killed by the alleged activists of some Hindu organization for accepting Islam at his native a few days back. The police have arrested four persons belonging to some Hindutva organization in this regard.
A resident of Kodini in Kerala, Anil Kumar was called Faisal after accepting Islam. He belonged to Nair family which is considered as an upper caste among Hindus.
Anil Kumar accepted Islam before 8 months when he was employed in Saudi Arabia. After returning home he was successful in converting his wife and children to Islam. Later when he was trying to convince his mother to accept Islam, he started getting life threatening calls from the alleged Hindu activists working for the Hindu organization. He was threatened to convert back to Hinduism denying which he would face severe consequences, he was warned.
Faisal was staying in a rented apartment with his wife and 3 children-all aged below 10 years and his parents lived in their own house separately. Faisal used to take care of his parents as well and wanted to take his family to Saudi Arabia.
Even his relatives were angry with him for accepting Islam and converting his family as well. He was being threatened for life by his relatives as well. Keeping an eye on all this, a Muslim scholar suggested him to file an FIR and seek police protection for which Faisal replied saying that as he has already accepted Islam, he had left all his affairs to Almighty. ‘Let my relatives and others do whatever they wish to’, he was often seen quoting.
He had asked one of his local friend to complete the proceedings of his mother Meenakshi accepting Islam and was about to leave back to Saudi Arabia on 20th Nov. On the night of 19th November, he had to go to railway station to receive his in-laws but unfortunately he did not reach railway station. Next morning at around 5am, his dead body was found in front of a shop in very bad condition. His head was broken apart with some sharp instrument and all the inner organs were removed out. His body was found in unrecognized condition.
His parents had no issue of Faisal converting to Islam as this was not new in their family. ‘My son was not the first one in the family to convert to Islam, why was my son killed for it?’ Faisal's father Krishanan Nair questioned. He also said Faisal dint accept Islam forcefully rather by his own wish and will.
