Bhatkal: Head Constable Deepak Sadanand Naik of Bhatkal Town Police Station has been awarded the DG & IGP Commendation Medal by the Karnataka Police Department in recognition of his outstanding service.

The medal was presented by Karnataka Director General and Inspector General of Police Dr M.A. Saleem during a felicitation ceremony held at the 3rd Battalion KSRP Parade Ground in Koramangala, Bengaluru, on Friday.

Naik was among around 200 police officers and personnel from across the state honoured for exemplary performance. He was selected for the award for his efficient handling of court monitoring in connection with the 2024 Haduvalli murder case in Bhatkal.
